
Currently, Luis is touring all over the world with Joaquin Cortes as a member of his company in stage productions such as, “Mi Soledad” and “Cale”.
He is considered as the one of the finest multi-instrumentalists for the stage as well as recording.
Luis has recorded and performed with artists such as Jorge Pardo, Israel Varela, Tomatito, Juan de Juan, Pepe Habichuela, Farruquito, Belen Maya, Joaquin Grilo, Chick Corea, Pata Negra, and Diego Amador.
Born into one of the most prominent gypsy families, the Amador clan, Luis Amador has lived flamenco since birth. Luis’s background includes a life with his father, Rafael, and uncle, Raimundo Amador, founders of the world famous band “Pata Negra”, and known as innovators of flamenco and blues fusion. His other uncle is accomplished recording artist Diego Amador.
As a child, flamenco legends such as Camaron and Tomatito frequently visited his home, where he learned the traditions of flamenco music. He was also exposed to the jazz artists that influenced his father such John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, Art Blakey, John Coltrane, and Miles Davis.
